Dear Warriors, 

I am a student at Waubonsie Valley Highschool. All of us students have been remote learning for 4 months. This proves to be a major difficulty for many students already - internet connectivity, time schedules, screen time with headaches, etc. If that isn't enough, COVID-19 cases have plunged, unemployment rates as well, etc.

From day to day, students have personal difficulties going on whether that be at home or mental illness/stress/low mood.

Homework during break may be beneficial to someone's grade and engagement, however, students will most likely get homework done just to get it done - not to grow or learn as students. 

In already stressful times, limited family contact and restrictions, projects and homework during the holidays adds to more stress than what is needed. During break is the time students have their only chance to catch up and improve upon their mental health.

By simply signing this, students will have a chance to focus on what comes first - emotional well being.
