A speed camera being set up on Chester Road
This petition had 9 supporters
My 9 year old sister was unfortunately involved in a collision with a speeding car this morning (12th July 2017) on Chester Road. She was crossing the road to go to school when she was hit by a man driving a Mercedes.
With speeding a common occurrence on this road due to a lack of monitoring, it jeopardises the safety of the residents and the primary school children that attend Chater Jr School.
The fact that my sister was involved in the collision this morning, although sustaining minor injuries, made me realise the gravity of the issue and that she was lucky enough to not have been critically injured.
People will not stop speeding on these roads without interference by the local council.
Thus I ask for your support by signing this petition in order for a speed camera to be set up on Chester/Petoria Road to monitor and maintain the legal 30mph speed limit which is constantly overlooked by speeding drivers.
No one wants to go through the trauma of what happened to my sister this morning to their own friends or family. The only logical approach to dealing with the issue of speeding is for the setting up of a speed camera, so please sign this petition to keep Watford safe.
Thank you. Please share this with your friends and family.
