Ban fireworks in Waterloo, Iowa

After the start of Iowa law on fireworks being legal it's clear that this needs to end. People can't sleep as the least of the problem. People with PTSD and other neurological problem can not handle the repercussions hearing them every night. If affects wildlife the same way it affects domestic animals. It's a proven fact that there is an increase of 30% of pets being terrified and run off outside to hide. That is a 30% increase for animal control to handle. Not only from that night but from people finding them loose and AC has to pick them up. It's very clear people aren't obeying the law now and shooting them off before it's legal to. I think over 150 calls for service proves the point. That alone adds to the police having to try to deal with them also. Luckily the fire dept. has had to put out any house on fire and no one has been seriously injured needing an ambulance which also takes away from the city covering other calls.
