Currently, students in WashU have been overwhelmed by thousands of new Covid-19 case caused by the wide spread of Omicron during the winter break. For the last seven days, the amount of new cases per day has increased to 553K in US. Many students got infected via different way, travel, exposure to positive case etc. Health and well beings of WashU students are threatened everyday.

To guard the safety and health of WashU students, we here sincerely present a petition to offer fully online choice during the upcoming spring semester. For the students who have been unfortunately diagnosed as positive, for the students who are surrounded by varied kinds of healthy threats, it will provide great help for them to keep chasing their academic dreams.

We know that great effort need to be taken if the petition realized. We understand and appreciate all the hard work done by all the faculty and employees of WashU. But we always believe that our school will regard the wellness of students as the first priority.
