Remove chocolate milk to create healthier and smarter students!
Add other milk options such as whole milk, 2% milk, almond milk, soy milk, coconut milk, and lactose free milk in the lunchroom. If chocolate milk is served make it once a week and no more than 4 grams of sugar per serving. Encourage water bottles and adequate access to water in school.
Calcium is good for the body, but chocolate milk everyday makes students hyper and impairs memory, which is harmful to the school environment. The first rule in any organization is to Do No Harm, students with access to chocolate milk daily is contributing to an epidemic in obesity and diabetes. Schools serving sugary beverages to students is a public health risk and I believe the community should work together to provide a healthier place in schools for our students.
The children of the next generation need us to fight for them!
