Many people around Washington enjoy modifying their cars, but with more modifications, more sound is outputted. The current maximum for sound output in Washington is 95 decibels, limiting a lot of modifications that can be added to a car. Similarly, even if one's car was to break, example of an exhaust leak; blown headers; and blown mufflers; it could be considered a public disturbance until it is fixed. Almost every fix that was listed above is ranging from $500-$2000 to fix, and with our economy, within Washington, it can take a good amount of time to fix or to save up to buy the part to install. Our proposition is to change the current noise control law in Washington from 95 decibels to 105 decibels to make it more manageable to fix one's car, and have more ability to manage and modify one's car within Washington state.
