Petition to Ban Military Assault Weapons in Washington State
Mass shootings involving military assault weapons capable of firing more than 100 bullets per minute continue to plague our country. These weapons were used to slaughter 20 children and six adults at Sandy Hook Elementary School and 49 men and women in an Orlando nightclub.
Military assault weapons do not belong in our communities. Their sole purpose is to kill human beings. The United States Supreme Court recently ruled that legislation to ban these Weapons of War does not violate one’s Second Amendment rights. We need to pass a law here in Washington State that bans the sale of new military assault weapons and all ammunition magazine clips that contain more than ten bullets. Please add your name to our petition that will be sent to our legislators this Fall.
