I'm signing because I'm tired of hearing of yet another mass shooting-terror attack in a school, university classroom, work-site, restaurant, shopping center, movie theater or other site. Since 1968, the year I graduated high school in New York (which also saw the shooting-assassination-murders of Robert F. Kennedy and Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr) well over 1,400,000 Americans have been slain in gun violence and terror attacks. Every mass shooting is a terror attack. Most terror attacks in the US have been perpetrated by white, American born men of Christian faith or Christian background. And most have used semi-automatic weapons. The carnage continues on. And far more are wounded than are killed in America's genocidal gun violence; many of the victims are catastrophically injured. Enough! Military assault weapons are never be used for home or vehicular self-defense, nor are they used for hunting rabbits, deer, ducks, and geese. They are only used to murder humans. These weapons should only be in the hands of active and on-duty US military personnel and on-duty law enforcement officers.

This type of weapon, in my opinion, is overkill. Many people want the right to bear arms to protect their property. I don't think an assault rifle that allows for an incredible number of bullets to attack a home invader makes sense. The danger related to Collateral Damage is emense. Others want rifles for hunting. I don't think an assault rifle is so appropriate rifle to kill an animal. Search rifle wood destroy the animal beyond the ability to be consumed as food. The defense of an assault rifle is outrageous. I see no reason this right should be protected under the Constitutional Amendment Of the right to bear arms.
