Put an End to Disability Discrimination at Tacoma Community College

I would like to stop disability discrimination on the Tacoma Community College campus. I have personally experienced retaliation in the form of losing my work-study job as front desk at the MARC for reporting disability discrimination. I am not the only student who is facing this and it seems that the current political climate is bolstering the behavior and attitude of an otherwise silent minority of staff at TCC. I do not want to slander the entire school as it is a wonderful place where I have gained a lot of great experience and knowledge. Even a foundation for a great future. However, during my time I have experienced pushback, discrimination, and outright abuse over being disabled and having an aid dog. Most recently I was told by the administrator of the MARC to find a job where my aid dog is welcome. After that, she made fun of me and told me I could apply for my job and that I have the upper hand because I have experience and know what I am doing. It is clear that I am not welcome back especially with my dog. Please support me and other disabled students by signing this petition stating you are against disability discrimination at TCC or anywhere else that is a public institution paid for with tax money. There is more to this story and it gets worse but this is enough to make the point.
