Cherie Bundy started this petition to Washington County Parks and

On October 1st 2019 there was an incident at Henry Hagg Lake, Boat Ramp C, that involved Robinson Family Lake house (a boat rental and concessions provider for the community), and Carl Switzer, Superintendent of Washington County Parks.  Mr. Switzer was refused access inside the business due to his ongoing discrimination and disrespect towards the business owner and the business. He then used his body to try and physically force himself through the owner and was again stopped by another party to the business. Because of this Mr. Switzer gave the business a 30-day eviction notice the same day. The business owner is a Veteran of the United States Navy and is also transgender. Every since she came out as transgender, the Superintendent has made it more and more difficult to operate any kind of business due to the Superintendent's bullying and out right discrimination. The business has contacted Washington County and spoke with the county attorney who has stated that they are investigating Mr. Switzer for discrimination and retaliation.  Even if it is to be found that there has been discrimination and retaliation, the contract is still terminated and the business must cease business operations and vacate the premises by November 1st 2019. How is this fair, or even legal?  Why is Mr. Switzer allowed to discriminate, retaliate, harass, and bring unwanted physical contact towards the business owner?  The business owner and her son live at the business, not only are they loosing their lively hood and dreams they are losing their home as well. So the owner will be left bankrupt and penniless, her and her child will be homeless. She put everything she had into this business, and her life savings only to be kicked out by a retaliatory and discriminatory superintendent a year and a half later. Without this business there will be no more boat rentals, food, drinks, or anyone that is always available on the lake to assist with emergencies on the water during and after park hours. This business has helped people stranded on their boats or in their vehicles. They have helped keep people safe and provided first aid when needed. They have also assisted with charity events and want nothing more than to give back to their community. They care about this community and love them. Robinson Family Lake House should continue to operate it's business at Henry Hagg Lake and provide the love and support that it has provide since they opened in 2018.  Please help this family and spread the word about this injustice.
