Not only were students not properly informed, but our right to choose was taken from us. WCHS decided that the date of Homecoming would be set back a week without our consent. All of our planned events have been changed, without our knowledge. The dance was postponed to Saturday, October 16th, and the pep rally was postponed until Friday, October 22nd. Admin made no consideration to set the dance inside with proper COVID-19 procedures and regulations. When students brought this up, they were dismissed. Students took off work, they rented tuxedos, they bought corsages....all of these are time sensitive.

There are many different procedures that Administration could have used:

• Mask mandate indoors (unless proof of vaccination)
• Separation of grades (Upperclassmen vs. Lowerclassmen)
• Social distancing
• Temperature Checks
• Routine sanitation

All of these are things that students would be willing to volunteer for. They are doable and are more in depth than class procedures.
