The Matrix is a masterpiece of action cinema and the greatest piece of trans culture created in the last thirty years. Ever since it's release on Trans Day of Visibility in 1999 it has shepherded many an egg through their journey of self discovery, and blown the mind of many a trans person who hasn't watched it since coming out to themselves.

There is a problem however, the credits.Lilly and Lana Wachowski are visionary directors, fierce advocates for trans rights and role models to many in our community. They should not be deadnamed and misgendered in the credits to one of their greatest works.

We the undersigned call on Warner Brothers Pictures and Village Roadshow Entertainment to honor the creators who have given so much to so many; and fix the credits for existing digital, streaming and physical reissues going forward. The resources required will be so miniscule, yet you will make so many fans, nee devotees, of this film feel like they are seen.
