Warner Bros and NetherRealm: Recommendations for a new "Mortal Kombat" TV series, the next "MK" and "Injustice" video games, and definitive editions of "Mortal Kombat: Special Forces", "Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero", and "Mortal Kombat 1-7"

This petition had 27 supporters

The new TV series should be simply titled "Mortal Kombat", it should feature the events of all of the canon "Mortal Kombat" stories in order(except "Mortal Kombat: Special Forces" and "Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero", which should be turned into TV miniseries), as well as events and characters exclusive to other "Mortal Kombat" media(such as "Mortal Kombat: Defenders of The Realm" and "Mortal Kombat: Conquest"), and it, along with the 2 TV miniseries, should be streamed on Netflix. This TV series and the 2 TV miniseries should have both great practical effects and great CGI, and the practical effects for kills should be done by Tom Savini. The music scores from the games and the previous movies & TV series should be used for this TV series(except the music scores from the games "Mortal Kombat: Special Forces" and "Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero", which should be used for their TV miniseries adaptations), including the music scores from the first 3 games.

There should be a new family-friendly animated "Mortal Kombat" TV series that has all of the characters and all of the events from the new live-action "Mortal Kombat" TV series, and has family-friendly Fatalities & Brutalities. There should also be family-friendly animated TV miniseries adaptations of "Mortal Kombat: Special Forces" and "Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero".

Recommendations For The Next "Mortal Kombat" Video Game:

Note: In order to keep things simple, I'll refer to controller buttons by their Playstation names.

All of the previous "Mortal Kombat" characters from all of the previous "Mortal Kombat" video games, as well as the unused character named Belokk, Kratos, Freddy Krueger(voiced by Robert Englund), Jason Voorhees, Leatherface, and the Predator(Yautja) and the Alien(Xenomorph) from "Mortal Kombat X"(who should be given official names), should be playable. The DLC characters should include a SuperPredator, a Predalien, a T-800 Terminator(voiced by Arnold Schwarzenegger or someone that can do the same T-800 Terminator voice as him), a T-1000 Terminator, Michael Myers, Ash Williams(voiced by Bruce Campbell), Chucky(voiced by Brad Dourif), Lubdan the Leprechaun(voiced by Warwick Davis), and Spawn(voiced by Keith David). All of the previous costumes & appearances of all of the previous "Mortal Kombat" characters & guest characters should be unlockable. Unlockable character skins should be selected by holding the Triangle button and pressing the X button after highlighting the chosen character skin. There should be 2 ways of playing as Ferra & Torr: seperately and in a way in which a player can switch between Ferra & Torr by pressing the Left D-Pad button.

The game should be a PS4, Xbox One, and PC exclusive.

The game should have free-roaming for both story mode and online multiplayer, with battles that are done in the traditional fighting game style, battles that are done across wide-open environments, and battles that are mixtures of both. Many different types of online play should be available, including a type of online play where players are able to form groups that are either alliance-specific, neutral-specific, or all-inclusive. There should be an offline 1-player VS mode, an offline 2-player co-op VS mode, and an offline 3-or-4-player co-op VS mode. Players should be able to create multiple custom characters that can be used for online multiplayer, the offline VS modes, and free-roaming in story mode(after finishing the story).

3rd-person, 1st-person, isometric, & sidescroller perspectives should be usable, with customizable options like in the enhanced version of "Grand Theft Auto 5". Changing between 3rd-person, 1st-person, isometric, & sidescroller perspectives and selecting which of the customizable options will be used should be done under "Options" in the pause menu. Obviously, the 1st-person perspective should turn off when a character is in a freeflow combat situation and then turn back on after the freeflow combat situation has ended.

There should be the option to either do Finishers the traditional way or to do them in a new quick-&-easy way, where the player just has to hold the Down D-Pad button & the X button and then choose from an on-screen selection of Finishers under various categories in order to use a specific Finisher. X-Ray Moves should be usable in a new quick-&-easy way, where the player just has to hold the Up D-Pad button & the X button and then choose from an on-screen selection of X-Ray Moves in order to use a specific X-Ray Move.

All previous Mortal-Kombat-related non-outlandish Fatalities, as well as all other previous Mortal-Kombat-related Finishers(except for ones like the "T-Wrecks" Fatality and the "Jax The Ribber" Fatality), from all previous "Mortal Kombat" video games(including "Mortal Kombat VS DC Universe"), as well as Scorpion's Super Move & outro(which should be usable as a Finisher) from "Injustice: GAU", should be included. Finishers like the "Make A Wish" Fatality should be sped up to be Finishers that cause immediate deaths, rather than ones that cause painful deaths.

Like in "Injustice: GAU", there should be character outros. After a Finisher has been used, an on-screen prompt should appear that says "Press 'X' to play character outro.".

Stage Transitions should be included.

Clashes(Wagers) should be included.

Death Traps should be included.

All previous Mortal-Kombat-related combos(any moves caused by button combinations) from all previous "Mortal Kombat" video games(including "Mortal Kombat VS DC Universe"), as well as all of Scorpion's combos from "Injustice: GAU", should be included.

All of the X-Ray Moves from "Mortal Kombat"[2011] and "Mortal Kombat X" should be included.

All previous Mortal-Kombat-related locations from all previous "Mortal Kombat" video games(including "Mortal Kombat VS DC Universe") should be included, whether they be roamable in story mode free-roaming, used in the game's story & are roamable in story mode free-roaming, and/or are usable for fight matches.

All of the previous announcer voices from all of the previous "Mortal Kombat" games(including "Mortal Kombat VS DC Universe") should be usable, and there should be the option to use specific announcer voices for specific things in the game, like if a player decided to use the announcer voice from the first "Mortal Kombat" game for the character selection screen and the announcer voice from "Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3" for fight matches. There should even be the option to use specific announcer voices for specific announcer sayings, like if a player decided to use the announcer voice from the first "Mortal Kombat" game for the announcer saying "[Insert name here] wins!", decided to use the announcer voice from "Mortal Kombat"[2011] for the announcer saying "Flawless victory!", and decided to use the announcer voice from the first "Mortal Kombat" game for the announcer saying "Fatality!". Furthermore, there should be the option to use specific announcer voices for specific announcer sayings for specific playable characters. All of these options should be available in both offline & online play.

All of the previous on-screen fonts from all of the previous "Mortal Kombat" games(including "Mortal Kombat VS DC Universe") should be usable, and there should be the option to use specific on-screen fonts for specific things in the game, like if a player decided to use the on-screen font from the first "Mortal Kombat" game for the character selection screen and the on-screen font from "Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3" for fight matches. There should even be the option to use specific on-screen fonts for specific on-screen words, like if a player decided to use the on-screen font from the first "Mortal Kombat" game for the on-screen words "[Insert name here] wins!", decided to use the on-screen font from "Mortal Kombat"[2011] for the on-screen words "Flawless victory!", and decided to use the on-screen font from the first "Mortal Kombat" game for the on-screen words "Fatality!". Furthermore, there should be the option to use specific on-screen fonts for specific on-screen words for specific playable characters. All of these options should be available in both offline & online play.

All of the previous Finisher-related music pieces(the music pieces that play when players perform Finishers) from all of the previous "Mortal Kombat" games(including "Mortal Kombat VS DC Universe") should be usable, and there should be the option to use specific Finisher-related music pieces for specific playable characters. There should even be the option to use specific Finisher-related music pieces for when specific Finishers are performed by specific playable characters. All of these options should be available in both offline & online play.

All of the previous character selection screen music pieces from all of the previous "Mortal Kombat" games(including "Mortal Kombat VS DC Universe") should be usable for this game's character selection screen in both offline & online play.

All of the previous character selection screen character-scrolling sounds from all of the previous "Mortal Kombat" games(including "Mortal Kombat VS DC Universe") should be usable for this game's character selection screen in both offline & online play.

When 1 or 2 players are selecting playable characters for use in story mode free-roaming, offline 1-player VS mode, or offline 2-player co-op VS mode, the playable character selection screen should look like that of "Mortal Kombat X". When 3 or 4 players are selecting playable characters for use in the offline 3-or-4-player co-op VS mode, the playable character selection screen should be the type of one on which the playable characters are shown in their battle stances after they are highlighted and/or selected.

Tools(firing weapons(including hands, tails, mouths, etc used to shoot projectiles), bladed weapons, kunais & shurikens, batons, shields, and explosives, as well as tails & inner jaws for characters like Aliens(Xenomorphs) and tongues for characters like Reptile) & special abilities(cloaking, forward charge attacks, Scorpion's "Shroud of Flames", etc) should be selected by pressing the Up D-Pad button and pressing the X button after highlighting the chosen tool or special ability.

All firing weapons should have rapid fire and bladed weapons, kunais & shurikens, batons, shields, & explosives should be able to be thrown rapidly, held by characters after being selected, and used while being held by pressing the Square button.

There should be an on/off option that allows for all tools & special abilities, as well as all Finishers & X-Ray Moves, that are available to specific playable characters to be usable by all playable characters(including custom characters) in story mode free-roaming(after finishing the story), in the 3 offline VS modes, and in online multiplayer.

Aiming should be done with the L2 button, while firing & throwing should be done with the R2 button.

Jumping should be done by pressing the X button and superjumping(which should be able to be done rapidly) should be done by holding the X button.

Punching/kicking should be done by pressing the Square button.

The grabbing of objects(such as enemies) should be done by holding the Square button.

For a character like the Alien(Xenomorph) from "Mortal Kombat X", when their tail is being used as a tool, the tail should be used to hit by pressing the Square button, grab by holding the Square button, fire its projectile(such as the born-from-a-Tarkatan Alien(Xenomorph)'s acid that it fires from its tail) by using the R2 button, and pull an object(such as an enemy) closer by double-pressing the R2 button. This control scheme should also be used for when the tongue of a character like Reptile is being used as a tool. For a character like an Alien(Xenomorph), when their inner jaw is being used as a tool, it should be used by using the R2 button.

Combat-rolling(which should be able to be done rapidly) should be done by holding the Circle button.

Players should be able to counter enemy attacks during hand-to-hand combat by pressing the Triangle button.

Transformations for characters that have them should be triggered by pressing the L3 button and should be doable even when in motion(including when flying/hovering and falling).

For a character like an Alien(Xenomorph), double-pressing the L3 button should cause them to go from either bipedal movement to quadrupedal movement or quadrupedal movement to bipedal movement, depending on which form of movement the character was using.

Pressing the R3 button should cause a character to hold up a shield from the tool selection while using a non-shield tool. When this feature is used, the character should be able to hit objects(such as enemies) with the shield by pressing the Circle button.

Holding the R3 button should cause a character to crouch.

Flight/hovering should be triggered by holding the L1 button.

While moving, superspeed(which should be infinitely usable) should be triggered by double-pressing the Triangle button.

After a special ability has been selected, it should be used by pressing the L1 button & the R1 button.

Characters that are capable of wall-scaling and superspeed should be able to go superspeeding up a building by either moving toward it and double-pressing the Triangle button or double-pressing the Triangle button while wall-scaling. In addition to being able to start wall-scaling by superjumping at a building and being able to go superspeeding up a building by superjumping at it while already at superspeed, characters should be able to start wall-scaling by pressing the Circle button while at a building.

Swinging via swinging/grappling tools should be done with the R1 button. Like in the "Batman: Arkham" video game series, there should be spots(which become highlighted when characters are at a certain distance from them and the in-game camera has them in sight) that can be quickly grappled to by pressing the R1 button. Note: A swinging/grappling tool should not have to be selected from the tools selection in order for this to work. Swinging/grappling tools should also be usable in the same way that other firing tools are used, except shooting at objects(such as enemies) with swinging/grappling tools should pull said objects toward the player's character.

A vision mode like that of the "Batman: Arkham" game series should be turned on by pressing the L1 button, and players should be able to use a specific unlocked vision-type by pressing the Down D-Pad button(after turning on the vision mode by pressing the L1 button) and then selecting the chosen vision-type from an on-screen vision-type selection by pressing the X button.

There should be unlockable on/off tweaks, like unlimited use of all tools & special abilities, unlimited use of X-Ray Moves(which, obviously, should not be usable during online play), unlimited health(which, obviously, should not be usable during online play), unlimited in-game cash, etc.

If the game ends up having audio logs, the audio logs should be pausable, rewindable, and fast-forwardable. Cutscenes should be pausable, rewindable, and fast-forwardable.

Like in "Batman: Arkham Knight", there should be showcase galleries.

After players beat the story for the first time, a quick-travel option should be unlocked, as should a mission selection option that allows players to re-play a specific mission from the story and either continue on in the story from there or just play said mission.

After finishing the game's story, all of the playable characters should be unlocked.

The suit that Scorpion wears in the game should be the suit that he wore in "Injustice: GAU".

Whenever a 3rd "Injustice" video game is made, it should be a PS4, Xbox One, and PC exclusive, and it should have all of the enhancements(the control scheme, the 3 offline VS modes, the 2 ways of doing Finishers, the free-roaming options for both story mode and online multiplayer, the other online multiplayer options, the options for the fight match modes, unlockable on/off tweaks, etc) from this new "Mortal Kombat" video game. All of the playable & non-playable DC characters(including the playable ones that were DLC) from the 1st & 2nd "Injustice" should be playable, and all of their costumes & appearances from the 1st & 2nd "Injustice" should be unlockable. All of the DC-related Super Moves(which should be used as Finishers from the 3rd "Injustice" onward) from the 1st & 2nd "Injustice" should be included, as well as all of the DC-related Finishers from "Mortal Kombat VS DC Universe". The "High-Wire Act" Super Move should be usable by all Bat Family members. All DC-related combos from the 1st & 2nd "Injustice" and "Mortal Kombat VS DC Universe" should be included. All of the DC-related locations from the 1st & 2nd "Injustice" should be included, whether they be roamable in story mode free-roaming, used in the game's story & are roamable in story mode free-roaming, and/or are usable for fight matches. All of the Stage Transitions from the 1st & 2nd "Injustice" should be included. All of the Clashes(Wagers) from the 1st & 2nd "Injustice" should be included. The announcer voices from the 1st & 2nd "Injustice" should be used in this and all subsequent "Injustice" video games. Slade Wilson(Deathstroke) should be referred to as "Slade" when he wins fight matches, he should be referred to on-screen as "Slade(Deathstroke)" on the playable character selection screen, he should be referred to as "Slade" via the announcer voice after he has been selected by a player, he should be referred to mostly as "Slade" in the story of the game, and he should be voiced by Ron Perlman. Anything Teen-Titans-related(including characters) that was depicted in the continuity of the animated TV series "Teen Titans"[2003] should be depicted in the way that it was in that continuity. The appearances of Slade, Beast Boy, Raven, Starfire, and Terra should be based on their appearances from "Teen Titans"[2003]. Nightwing(Dick Grayson) should be voiced by Scott Menville, Cyborg should be voiced by Khary Payton, Beast Boy should be voiced by Greg Cipes, Raven should be voiced by Tara Strong, Starfire should be voiced by Hynden Walch, Terra should be voiced by Ashley Johnson, Tempest(Garth) should be voiced by Wil Wheaton, Aqualad(Kaldur'ahm) should be voiced by Khary Payton, Arsenal(Roy Harper Jr) & Red Arrow(Roy Harper Jr's clone) should be voiced by Crispin Freeman, Oracle(Barbara Gordon) should be voiced by Tara Strong, Red Robin(Tim Drake) should be voiced by Matthew Mercer, Robin(Damian Wayne) should be voiced by Stuart Allen, Static should be voiced by Phil LaMarr, Gear should be voiced by Jason Marsden, Hal Jordan should be voiced by Nathan Fillion, John Stewart should be voiced by Phil LaMarr, the Flash(Barry Allen) should be voiced by Michael Rosenbaum, and Superman should be voiced by Tim Daly. All of those previously mentioned characters, as well as Spoiler(Stephanie Brown), Batwoman(Kate Kane), and Batgirl(Cassandra Cain), should be playable. If the game ends up having audio logs, the audio logs should be pausable, rewindable, and fast-forwardable. Cutscenes should be pausable, rewindable, and fast-forwardable. Like in "Batman: Arkham Knight", there should be showcase galleries. After finishing the game's story, all of the playable characters should be unlocked. Because of the fact that the "Injustice" prequel comic book series has R-rated-level violence, unlike the 1st & 2nd "Injustice" video games, the 3rd "Injustice" video game and the sequels to follow it should have R-rated-level violence.

There should be definitive versions of "Mortal Kombat: Special Forces"(which should be in its originally intended form), "Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero", "Mortal Kombat", "Mortal Kombat 2", "Mortal Kombat 3", "Mortal Kombat 4", "Mortal Kombat 5: Deadly Alliance", "Mortal Kombat 6: Deception", and "Mortal Kombat 7: Armageddon" that have all of the content from all of the different versions of those games. These definitive versions should be sold both physically and digitally. With these definitive versions, there should be the option to either do Finishers the traditional way or to do them in a new quick-&-easy way, where the player just has to hold the Down D-Pad button & the X button and then choose from an on-screen selection of Finishers under various categories in order to use a specific Finisher. "Mortal Kombat 1-3" should have the same visuals as their original arcade versions, but the rest of these games should have remastered visuals. As far as physical copies of these definitive versions go, "Mortal Kombat: Special Forces" & "Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero" should be released together in a 2-disc set, "Mortal Kombat 1-4" should be released together in a 2-disc set, and "Mortal Kombat 5-7" should be released together in a 3-disc set.

Playable guest characters should include the Predator(Yautja) and the Alien(Xenomorph) from "Mortal Kombat X", characters from the "Prometheus, Alien, & Predator" franchise, and characters from the original "Universal Monsters" films and their Hammer horror film equivalents. The following is in relation to "Universal Monsters" characters: The Dr Frankenstein character that created Frankenstein The Monster should be referred to on-screen as "Victor Heinrich 'Henry' Frankenstein", and vocally as "Victor Frankenstein".
