The Youth of Loureirpark has been pleading for housing development for over decades and nothing has happened. Loureirpark is a place situated near the Windmill casino yet neglected due to it hasn't been maintained and not considered.

Loureirpark is a small place but over the years the number of people living in it has increased to a point that the number of back rooms has also increased. More and more people are coming to Loureirpark due to they've gotten jobs in other communities around Loureirpark like "Fauna" which has a Mall and a Complex, not forgetting the Casino and other more. This has created a situation of lack of housing. 

In the townships the are housing developments which are done and some are still in process and we get some of them that people have to apply for, which is for free and you also get the once that are being rented out for people like the hostels in Loureirpark. 

I, Youth Member Obakeng Modiakgotla know that, Housing developments would play a big role not only for the community members but also for the people who work around or near Loureirpark and the Mangaung Metro it's self.
