Working together to make Vanderbilt Road safer
0 have signed. Let’s get to 100!
- The road is used as a cut through to avoid the Garratt Lane/Earlsfield Road junction
- Speeding cars and aggressive behaviour from drivers who will not give way when they meet in the middle of the road, are creating a dangerous environment for us all. This is a residential road with a large number of young families.
- The junction at the top of Vanderbilt Road with Winfrith Road is very tight. Lorries, white vans and skips find it impossible to turn and have to reverse back down Vanderbilt, which often results in damage to parked cars
- Although we welcome the Atheldene Road development, the impact of heavy duty vehicles cutting through to access the site is adding to our above mentioned anxieties
We, the below undersigned, ask you to consider such options as speed bumps, making the road one-way, width restrictions, restricted times of entry for large vehicles or any related improvement measures.
