Waltham Forest to install Motorbike railings on residential streets
This petition had 136 supporters
Motorbikes are expensive and are an easy target.
Many Londoners rely on their Motorbikes for daily commute.
Motorbike theft is flourishing in London because police resources are limited, and police are restricted from chasing criminals for public pedestrian safety. Most commonly on residential streets, Motorbikes are lifted and placed in a van. Stolen motorbikes are being dismantled and sold off in other European countries, or being used to commit further crimes in London (e.g. smash & grab, mobile phone & hand bag snatching, for stealing further Motorbikes). Criminals are feeling comfortable because they know the police wont chase them. Please support this petition in the hope that more boroughs will install railings to further secure motorbikes and make it a little more difficult to steal them.
