We are a group of concerned parents from Wood Street area of walthamstow e17, who want to protect and safeguard our children from the council's plans to build an 11 story tower block housing a probation center next door to Woodside Primary Academy.

It is our duty as a community to firstly safeguard our children from the crimes and anti-social behaviour which come with a probation centers (aka Family and Homes Hub or Youth Offending Service, as the council are calling it).

Secondly to protect their privacy from having their classrooms and playground being overlooked.

Waltham Forest Council are only building the 67 apartments in the 11 story tower block so that they can fund both the Library that moved up the road and the incredible expensive probation centre.

Now the council will call it Family & Homes Hub or they might even be honest as say that it is to consolidate the Youth Offending Service (YOS) but you can read in the other blog posts that a YOS is the nice name a probation centre.

There really could be no worse place for this development. Please contact all the local politicians and object.

This is crazy as in Kingston council are moving the probation service because it is next to new school that is to be built, but in Waltham Forest the council don’t seem to care about our kids. Read more at this link below.
