When some residents agreed, to have the (grove green ward) (GGW) have a CPZ it was to stop people visiting and attending local cafes for prolonged periods as residents were unable to find parking after returning from work, and on weekends instead the council introduced the CPZ from the periods of 8am until 6.30pm. When most residents are at work! Needless to say, when returning from work there still is not any parking spaces!!

To make matters worse the over stayers found a way to flaunt the system by displaying disabled blue badges with their minicab licences.

With the recent increase in prices from Waltham Forest council on resident parking permits, we the residents of Grove Green Ward demand the council suspends the CPZ from MAY 24TH 2017. Or reconsiders the prices at the same level Just so everyone knows the prices will go up further more in 2018 and no one has been made aware. Apparently, this year’s renewals have a 50% discount and will double next year. I have spoken to NSL who enforce these CPZ’s and they have confirmed the price increases this not only applies to the GGW ward but across Waltham Forest.
