I've have noticed Disney was altering the volume when watching Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker. I've seen this movie in theater and noticed the volume differences in my home theater just keep the volume the same Disney.

I recently got into the Atmos game and started focusing on the surround very much. To prepare for Rise of Skywalker I watched The Last Jedi with Atmos and thought that that would be a great experience. Never heard a thing in the surround and the bass was really flat. Then it was time for Episode IX and I had booked it in an iSense theater (first time, thought Star Wars would be an amazing first experience). $25 poorer and 2,5 hours later I asked my friends “Did you hear anything from the ceiling? Or even the sides?”. Everything is laid on the front channels like it’s a really bad surround-upscale, even in the theaters now.

Spent all night yesterday to figure out what was off with my system until I came to the conclusion that the mix sucked. Tried "Infinity War", "The Last Jedi" and "Captan Marvel". Great movies, dissapointing sound, sadly.

Disney releases tend to be the most expensive, but they give audiophiles the worst soundtracks. Consequently it's deters me from buying and enjoying their movies on home releases, whether 1080p Blu-ray or 4K UHD. This is unacceptable from a studio with so much financial clout.
