I am assistant principal at Pool Hayes Academy and I patrol our side gate every morning and after school and cars are parking there all the time. Then when cars speed past our students are at such a risk. We have had one of our students recently run over there too.

I think it's wrong for any school to have such a large amount of cars parked where children need to cross. They all seem to be the same in this borough.

The attitude of motorists in Walsall is disrespectful to pedestrians and cyclists and as the Police do not seem to be able to catch the speeders, the speeders must be slowed down with traffic calming measures.

Pool Hayes Lane is nothing but a racetrack, and it is only a matter of time before there is a fatality. When the pupils come out of school, some car drivers and motorcyclists seem to relish speeding and showing off. I have witnessed so many near misses I have lost count. PLEASE do something to make this road safer for our children!

We live on this road and have lost count of the amount of times We have held our breath watching near miss after near miss. I have a young child and have had to teach her that she can not stand to close to the hedge of the drive in fear that someone will mount the kerb and knock her over “how sad is that really”. Made more of a reality when our wall was smashed through. I strongly believe that it’s only a matter of time before somebody is seriously injuries or killed on Pool Hayes Lane.
