We are very opposed to having an In-n-Out Burger fast food chain and drive through Starbucks (plus offices) built on North Main at Second Ave.

This development is bad for neighbors and worse for Walnut Creek. More drive-thru businesses, especially one as large and as popular as In-n-Out, in this area will increase traffic where it is already a huge problem.

North Main is over saturated with cars, fast food, and many commercial, highly trafficked businesses already. More importantly, 2nd Ave at N. Main is the gateway to the quiet, tree-lined residential Larkey Park neighborhood. This is not the place to put a drive-thru In-n-Out. The Larkey Park neighborhood is home to a newly renovated Wildlife Museum, miles of walking and bike trails, tennis courts, a brand new community pool opening this summer, and thousands of homeowners and residents. 

We ask city officials as well as the developers who are applying to build this development to consider the short and long term consequences of this project and make the responsible decision for the future of northwest Walnut Creek: reject the proposed plan to build an In-N-Out and Starbucks (plus offices) at the gateway to our beautiful community.
