Sam’s and Walmart are not a fit for this neighborhood. They poorly ran a store before, what do you think will actuallly change? Greenville is thriving with independent shops and restaurants. Adding a Sam’s will not help the development and will be a complete eye sore.

My mom lives right near here and without this Walmart she has to travel to great ends just to supply food in her home!

Walmart doesn’t need to further damage our community. They’ve had an opportunity utilize the space and have instead left it vacant when other tenants would be happy to occupy it with new businesses or as a community area (better use of space in my opinion).

Walmart is a horrible employer and their prices aren’t a savings at all. They drive out the mom & pop businesses

I want a walkable, bike-friendly community with interesting local businesses over these dull mega-corps. Get off my street, Walmart.

We can do better than Walmart / Sams. Something for the actual residents of our neighborhood would be great. My vote is for activity: climbing gym, skating rink, maker space. We don’t need a big box store in our walkable, bikable haven. I never step foot in the Walmart and I would never shop at a Sams.

There is no reason that unused commercial property should bring down an otherwise growing community.
