Tell Walmart to Stop Torturing Pigs
Tell Walmart to Stop Torturing Pigs
Why this petition matters

Hi. I am an undercover investigator with Mercy For Animals.
While working undercover at a Walmart pork supplier—Seaboard Foods in Colorado—I came to realize that the only meaningful difference between the pigs we eat and the dogs we love is how they are treated.
Sadly, the way pigs are treated at Walmart pork suppliers is nothing short of criminal.
I saw workers punching and violently beating pigs with heavy boards and cans in their faces and bodies. Often, the workers hit the animals and cursed at them for no reason other than just to be cruel.
I saw stressed animals crammed in barren concrete pens, unable to move without climbing over other pigs. Many of them were so frustrated they spent hours biting the bars of their enclosures—a sign of serious mental collapse caused by lack of mental stimulation.
While this kind of brutality and neglect is shocking, I know from other investigations that extreme cruelty and neglect run rampant at Walmart pork suppliers nationwide. I think the worst abuse these animals endure is immobilization in tiny gestation crates. They can’t even walk, turn around, or lie down comfortably for nearly their entire lives.
Imagine if Walmart executives treated even one dog or cat this way.
Please, help me put a stop to this. Take a moment to sign my petition urging Walmart to immediately adopt new animal welfare requirements for its pork suppliers to prevent egregious animal abuse and to end the use of abusive gestation crates in its supply chain.
Thank you.
