Walmart's recent decision to start selling precut fabric over fabric by the yard on the bolt is a mistake. This clearly shows that they do not understand the needs of their crafting customers. Leaving an option of on 1-2 yards of fabric is not a solution for all craft projects. For example, a dress or jacket can require 4 or more yards of fabrics.
This decision also grossly limits selection and choice. Very little licensed fabric is now made available. Some stores do not have licensed sports, supper hero, Disney, ect. This forces some people to shop elsewhere, if that is an option. In some communities Walmart is all they have as a craft store and unfortunately, not everyone can shop online.
These decisions show that Walmart is stopping being a customer friendly store. The only problem that Walmart had before was not properly trained or unavailable people in the craft department. That is a problem that could be easily fixed.
Please Walmart rethink your decision. Want to buy by the yard on the bolt bolts not precut fabric.
