All Walmart shoppers should have the choice to decide if they prefer to go to a cashier to ring up their items or to a self check out, I for one will not be shopping at Walmarts if they do in fact go to all self check outs....many shoppers are in need of assistance and should not have to be forced to perform these tasks in which Walmart should be offering cashiers to check out their customers...if they want to keep them as customers. Think of all the many jobs that are going to be lost due to this change if fully implemented. Lost jobs means many Families & Economies will be impacted in negative ways...never positive. Only human beings can build relationships with other human beings....think of all the ways it is so more profitable to have a human being waiting on you than a machine...just the interaction alone can make you feel comfortable enough to want to keep shopping at Walmarts..if the interaction was pleasant & helpful. This World is changing so fast....do we honestly want to make each other feel more alone than we already are by being forced to use a humanless register? I prefer the help, the warm interaction of speaking with the cashier & asking any question/s I have during that shopping trip, after all Walmart did work hard to bring us shoppers to these Super Stores...for what? To end up like Kmart did...going out of business do to their unfriendly ways of treating customers??? It is the shoppers who make businesses succeed or fail...but to totally shun the shoppers who prefer human cashiers over self check outs...so the business can save money by not paying human workers...well I believe this to be a negative way of keeping shoppers wanting to keep coming back.
