I have worked for Walmart for two years. I love my job, because i enjoy helping & serving people!! But it's a shame no one is taking this crisis serious in these stores. I believe we should be protected to. Yes they gave mangers $300. dollars. And part timers $150. dollars. But is that really enough and they taxed it. I just think that by this being a multi million dollar company more should be done to protect us to. I have a family & i am married. My husband and i are taking care of our eight year grandson!! Who is ADHD. Times are very hard for everyone. I just feel like more should be done to protect us as we serve people and risk our lives to serve everyone. It's very scary right now and with this coronavirus spreading so rapidly.Some people really are not taking this serious. Help us to who are working in the stores that are necessary for the people. Raise our pay!! It's really bad when you have to choose between your health & the health of your family and your  job.When it's so clear that people really aren't taking this serious. At the rate that the death toll is going up,how can you not? I am a production supervisor in the deli at Walmart. My team and i talk all the time about what we see and hear in our store. And it makes us as a people wonder,  do they really care about us? Or is it about the mighty dollar. I get it that it's necessary to work and to make money. It's the only way to live. But at the same time what do you do when you have to make a decision between your family, your health and your job...??? Some people make $11. to $15. an hour if you really think about it, that's not living. That is still poverty living.Can the underdogs get more pay, better health insurance or shut it down for two weeks pay someone to really sterilize these companies and still pay us while on this leave. When everything get clear we go back to work. We are safe our families are safe and our community that we work for is safe!!!
