Don't build a 150,000 square foot superstore across from Lindbergh MARTA

Let Walmart know that you don't want a 150,000 square foot superstore with acres of surface parking built across from the Lindbergh MARTA station. This development will result in the loss of inner city land zoned residential and cause gridlock traffic on Piedmont Road and Lindbergh Drive while bringing no value to the current neighborhoods around it. There is nothing Walmart will be selling that we can't already buy at the adjacent Home Depot, Target, PepBoys or Best Buy. We won't shop at the Walmart Superstore. The area needs a supermarket and we deserve an urban design - not a sprawling suburban styled superstore. Walmart has both - a 38,000 square foot supermarket and urban designs - in their portfolio. A supermarket is a compromise that preserves some residential zoned land, brings value to the area and allows Walmart to have a presence in our neighborhood. Walmart - build an urban style supermarket and we will shop there.
