Due to the increased amount of traffic through our community of park and marina patrons, our Sun Harbor Estates Residents strongly feel that this has heightened the chances of a vehicle vs. pedestrian/pet collision. The vast majority of visitors are failing to abide by the posted speed limit of 25 MPH and at times even challenge the request to slow down with force.
We understand we are limited by the number of sheriffs that are able to patrol the area due to how rural our county is, additionally, we feel this will save our county money by installing a least (5) speed humps and signage instead of requesting more patrol or hiring additional officers. 

Requested locations for installation of humps:

(2) Harbor Blvd, between Sun Harbor and Charbonneau Drive

(2) Lake View Dr, between Sun Harbor and Charbonneau Drive

(1) Charbonneau Drive, between Lake View Dr and Harbor Blvd

In closing, not only do we need this for the safety of our residence, visitors, and pets but for the many species of wildlife that call our community home.
