As a dog lover, I get extremely upset by seeing people walk their dogs in extreme heat. Although there are lots of posts from big charities like the RSPCA, established vets, dog walkers/ trainers whom share stories etc on social media, some dog owners don’t seem to get the message. 

According to the NCBI (Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute), they reviewed the veterinary records of over 900,000 dogs and identified that exercise was the most common trigger of heat-related illness in dogs. They also found that heatstroke suffered by a dog due to exercise, is just as deadly as those pups left in hot cars! 

I know that millions of people have the same view as me on this and will help me to make a stand and hopefully, put a stop to dog walking during the hottest times/ days throughout the year.
