We are trying to gain signatures to change an ordinance related to fowl (chickens, ducks, etc.) for Walker Township. Currently it stands that you may not have fowl within 300 feet of anyone's property lines. This would eliminate most of walker township residence. In todays world, being self sustaining is very important to a lot of people. These animals have helped people do that forever. Things to change would include eliminating the 300 feet. We would like to make it that you can have a max of 10 hens, no roosters, 4 ducks, must be properly taken care of and must be contained if in a residential area. These can always be discussed by the township and residence to meet on certain things. We plan to attend a Walker Township meeting to try and change this matter and we need everyone's help. If we do not change this, most animals in walker township will not be allowed. Please Sign this petition and help make a change!
