I don't want zoom, you don't want zoom, but the rapid spread rate of Omicron is real. It spreads much more quickly than Delta, results in more severe symptoms than Delta, and breakthrough infections are highly likely even with vaccination. Many schools have decided to play safe by staging the first two weeks of spring 2022 classes online. I vote Wake Forest to do the same, since setting the first two weeks of classes online might be able to prevent a full-blown Covid outbreak that might bring us back to a fully online semester.
