hold the police who shot up a queer bar that was aiding BLM protestors accountable
On May 31, Wake County police fired shots at medics that were stationed at Ruby Deluxe, an LGBT+ bar that was providing water/first aid to passing BLM protestors. A video was posted to Twitter.
It was the bar owner, Tim Lemuel's, property, yet these officers were firing shots, screaming “I don’t care where you go, you gotta go!” They continued firing shots, and one officer even shouted, “Move! The game is over. Get out!”
The people there were scared out of their minds, and all they were trying to do was help people who were peacefully protesting. This kind of behavior cannot go unpunished because these police officers do not have the right to do something like this to innocent civilians.
You can read more information about the incident here, and here is Ruby Deluxe's response that they posted to Instagram. Please sign the petition to hold these police officers accountable!
