In today’s society institutionalized racism is still prevalent within our youth. From micro-aggressions to full blown racial aggression. Slurs have been normalized with no background knowledge of African American history as a whole. It is our responsibility as students to be able to change how the topic of race is discussed in todays world. By signing this petition we are one step closer to closing the gap of ignorance while educating our next generation.
