The Drapers Pyrgo staff have been told they are going to be losing hours. There hours and pay grades are being cut! Some have worked there for 16 or more years which is heartbreaking to see how they’re now being treated. This is going to affect the childrens studies as the staff are stretched too thinly to give the children the attention and care they deserve and SHOULD expect from school. Pyrgo’s support staff do everything from medical care to individual learning for students who need the extra help, this includes the library, emotional and physical well-being. During the pandemic children have suffered academically, as well as from their mental health and anxiety issues, the staff have been on hand to help with it all. The staff are expected to do MORE duties for LESS!! Which is unfair on the children and staff. As a result of this staff are being forced to resign because of the OUTRAGEOUS proposals. one of the most passionate, devoted and long serving safe Harding team member Maxine Baxter resigned and left the school. Many of the staff work above and beyond for the school, children and community. She still have worked tirelessly for drapers Pyrgo but left because of wanting to downgrade her and to for her to take a massive pay cut - the job she did was priceless. Her leaving is a tragic loss for the other staff still remaining. All the cut hours and pay cuts are going to affect the children, having a damaging effect on children safety and education!
