Debates that are actually stagecraft don't help us understand what candidates actually stand for, or plan to do. We need to hear direct, complete answers directly from the candidates. Instead of presidential "debates," I want to see a simple Q & A. I want the candidates to be in separate rooms with no notes or access to info outside of their own heads. Each candidate should receive the same question, one at a time, and a time limit to record their responses so we can hear exactly what they have to say without the opportunity to talk over each other or interrupt/derail the questioner. One question, one response, next question...Allow voters  to hear unfiltered, unscripted answers directly from the candidates.
