In the course of the 2020 State of the Union Address, President Trump awarded the nation's highest civilian honor to Rush Hudson Limbaugh, a political propagandist supportive of the President's own party.
Trump presented Limbaugh with the nation's highest civilian award on the basis of Limbaugh's years of political partisanship, and he further exploited Limbaugh's recent revelation of his terminal illness to distract from the implications of this action.
This petition seeks to do two things:
By act of Congress, revoke the Medal of Freedom issued to Rush Limbaugh.
By further act of Congress, either remove the president's unilateral power to award the medal, or abolish it entirely.
