We are facing the biggest rise in the cost of living in recent memory yet NELC have risen the cost of our council tax. 

We are one of the most deprived areas of the country yet band for band we pay one of the highest rates of council tax. 

The money is often wasted on failed vanity projects which include but isn't limited to the knocking down of buildings, then the cost of the hoardings and subsequent wastage repainting them when there was no need to knock down the building in the first place. 

The council also need to be held accountable for the actions of Councillor Ron Shepherd who voted to close a family hub for his own benefit (all available in the public domain), then his bullying and harassment of older women. 

This is vile and disgusting and these people need to be held accountable for their actions!

We deserve a council who will serve us and listen to us rather than lining their own pockets, along with Engie. We deserve Councillors who respect the citizens they represent and can speak with freely. 

Granted not all the councillors are like this and some genuinely do care but the rotten apples ruin it for the others. 

Its about time we got the council we deserved, one which will listen to it's residents rather than bully and harass them. 

It's about time this gravy train ended and our hard earned money was spent where it was needed!
