AISD needs to be able to inform and engage the community in discussions about proposed facility use changes, demographic and educational trends that impact neighborhood schools.

Stakeholders want to be regularly informed about the criteria against which AISD evaluates school vitality and to have a voice in shaping those criteria.

AISD communication practices can do more to inspire trust that community voices are valued and that input matters.

Please consider adding your name and voice in sending a strong message to the Austin ISD Board of Trustees and the Superintendent that the proposed December 19th vote on annual academic & facilities recommendations (IDEA CHARTER) should be VOTED DOWN; and developed with genuine citizen and neighborhood participation.
