Vote for Permanent Daylight Saving Time

Vote for Permanent Daylight Saving Time
Many states are now onboard in favor of permanent Daylight Saving Time. To be clear, this means we have more daylight at the end of the day. The Energy Commission has come back with their findings that permanent DST will be advantageous to our nation because as the world demands more electricity with technology and electric cars, we need to have more sunlight at the end of the day instead of using electricity at 4pm to light our homes. There are petitions out there that are promoting permanent Standard Time, which means darkness at 4pm for our northern states and darkness down here in California at 5pm. Permanent DST will increase happiness, decrease depression, promote health because more folks are outside after work taking walks or spending quality time with children and family outdoors. Permanent DST also promotes health because we are outside more in the long winter months enjoying sunshine instead of being indoors passing germs around and we are more susceptible to Flu, Colds and Covid and major depression. Permanent DST is also necessary because many of us are driving home from work in the dark, tired from long days and are subjected to the new bright blue headlights coming at us on the roads, which are blinding and dangerous. It's also been proven there are more car accidents at the end of the day. Permanent DST means this: Congress votes for permanent DST for our nation. Then, if each state wants to opt out, they can vote for that. Again, if you don't like DST, your state can vote it out. Please be aware of what you are signing. The promoters of Standard Time are using language like, "Stop turning the clocks back." This is confusing language because we all agree we need to stop changing the clocks twice a year. But, please be careful which time change you are promoting and which you are voting against. Your vote counts as this issue is becoming a hot topic in Congress. California voted for permanent DST in 2018, but we still wait for Congress to approve. Again, please be aware: The petitions going around to "stop the clock," are promoting Standard Time, which means it is dark at 4pm. Daylight Saving Time means we have more sunlight at the end of the day. Please know your laws. Read up on this. And please vote for permanent Daylight Saving Time.
