Volusia County’s budget is already over $1 Billion per year. Our area has experienced a record hot real estate market creating large increases in property values and assessments AND has received an influx $300,000,000 from state and federal COVID relief funds that both brought big money into county coffers. With $600,000,000 already in reserves, there has never been a better time to adopt the roll back rate for ad-valorem taxes in our county's budget! Yet, the majority of our County Council wants to increase the budget even further!  WE CANNOT LET THIS HAPPEN!!

With Volusia County having the dubious distinction of being one of the highest taxed counties in Florida, so much un-checked spending, run-away development not paying its fair share, lack of affordable housing for working class citizens; we need LOWER TAX RATES— not higher ones! 

It’s time we insist upon:

1-An in-depth review of county budget to reduce unnecessary spending, 

2-Protecting the poor & working class, who will be hardest hit, 

3-Elimination of bullying citizens & council members who advocate for lowering taxes, 

4-Lower taxes!
