Re-site mobile phone mast in Salisbury Road adjacent to Auriol Park to a less obtrusive site
This petition had 566 supporters
A 12.5metre mast in Salisbury Road has been 'nodded through' by Epsom and Ewell Planning Department purely by default.
Set protocol was not followed according to councillors and the entire planning process is now going before a Scrutiny Committee.
As a result hundreds of local residents are angry and disappointed that the council to whom they pay their taxes have not listened to their views and have taken a dictatorial approach to this planning application.
The mast is being erected in a semi-rural road, which will be totally out of keeping with the environment and close to houses who will view this monstrosity from their living room and bedroom windows as well as their gardens. In addition to this, residents are concerned that local youths will use the base cabinets to access the park after dark, thereby increasing the risk of anti-social behaviour.
Vodafone have agreed to a meeting and we are urging people to sign this petition to log their outrage that this is being allowed to happen.
