To whom it may concern,

The purpose of this email is for our voices to be heard while the ever changing COVID-19 guidelines affect our educational program. There are many VN3 students that are “high risk” because they are immunocompromised, pregnant, taking care of very young/elderly family members, don’t currently have childcare or their children are out of school because of COVID-19 and we feel that we should have the option to continue the educational program via online. There are classmates that have direct contact with COVID-19 patients and many of our classmates at this time can not afford to catch the virus because they themselves are “High risk” and don’t feel the school should put us at risk when there are other options that have been proven to work. With that being said, there are also multiple VN3 students able and willing to come to campus who wish to continue learning in person. We understand that we are going into the nursing field and flexibility is a necessity, but at the same time we're still nursing students and feel we have the right to express our concerns/needs related to our educational program. We want to be heard and have a say in this and hope this doesn’t fall on deaf ears. We feel it is only fair to come with a plan as to how to execute this and make it as best of a learning experience as possible for everyone. Thank you for taking your time to hear our concerns and pleas, below you will find suggestions that many have agreed to as well as option need/preference:

Option 1: 100% on campus (those that are able and willing to go to campus)

Option 2: 100% online( those that are “High risk” or unable to go to campus)

Sincerely,

VN3 Class of 08-2020
