Boycott the Sussex MFM MA Virtual Degree Show

As a student rep, I am here to express the distress and upset of the student body. There is no way to deny that a virtual show is less prestigious and less impactful than a physical show. Especially because Sussex (or particularly MFM) does not have an established online platform for such things. Do you agree?
I hear that the students are determined to arrange some kind of real-world group exhibition at the end of the academic year -- even if it means going DIY. Therefore, could you please clarify the reasons that contributed to this decision, so that we see what were the issues and whether they can be fixed. Is it because ACCA has orders from the university to become financially viable? Did the art director book other shows for those dates? Problems with funding? The majority of students found it very upsetting that the email did not even acknowledge the dramatic difference between the two versions of the degree show. The course description widely advertised the final show as one of the highest points in the degree, and even BA media students get physical showcases (particularly the recent one, that was indeed held in ACCA).
Looking forward to your reply. Please let us know if we should re-direct these concerns to someone else.
