Ever since the high school returned from winter break, an outbreak of Covid-19 has been discovered. While nobody truly enjoys online school, there is a need for virtual to occur. I have seen first hand some of my friends and family get Covid and lose so much from it. Some of us may live with elderly people, people with autoimmune disorders, or people unable to get vaccinated. If we were to get sick, we could get our loved ones sick, or worst case scenario, kill them. The students of South Fayette want virtual school for this reason, along with the anxieties and mental health issues that are now arising, due to the constant fear of getting sick. We do not wish for a long virtual school period, however even two weeks would suffice. Having 11 cases in one day is unacceptable, and the amount of people being contract traced is even higher. Although this may not change anyone's mind, students are now putting their health and safety as top priority. Nobody should go to school scared to get sick.
