The board of Brightward Homeowners Association (Helderwyk Estates) has decided to hold the upcoming AGM on 28 November 2022 virtually via zoom. This is in contravention of the MOI. Furthermore holding the meeting virtually presents its own challenges which includes:

1. The MOI not providing for virtual voting. Section 2.17.5 of the MOI saying that resolutions must be voted via a show of hands
2. We are currently experiencing loadshedding which will affect those members who do not have back up power.
3. There is no way of verifying proxies and those who are legible to vote in the virtual platform
4. There has never been any rules adopted by the members to hold such meetings
