This decision will impact and last far beyond the lifetimes of you and me into the lives of our children. They deserve a clean and happy environment to live and explore in.

It’s utterly reprehensible how we are still disregarding our Earth’s cries to stop destroying it. Our biggest problem as a species is not the current social uproar, but our lack of care for the destruction of a planet housing millions of other forms of life.

Creating jobs by endangering the environment is beyond unethical. The energy sector could create jobs through alternative means. Loads of this money is going to people who already have way more than they could ever need. This is not an acceptable decision.

I grew up hiking the trails and going camping on Pine Mountain. This would be taking away a part of life for future generations to enjoy. Children and adolescents need to experience nature such as the Appalachia trail to promote social, emotional and behavioral health.
