Make Earlysville safer for our families

Since the end of May, there are at least 7 accidents that we know of at the intersection of Earlysville Road, Reas Ford Road, and Earlysville Forest Road. There have been plenty of very close calls that we have also witnessed. The speed limit is 35 mph from the post office almost to Chestnut Grove Baptist Church. People fly through "downtown" Earlysville, texting, swerving because they can't wait the 5 seconds it would take for the person in front of them to turn... and if you are one of the few who actually drive 35 mph, people ride your bumper. Something needs to be done, whether a police officer sets up radar repeatedly to catch the speeders and wreckless drivers, or a traffic circle is built to slow traffic down. Before someone is hurt, please, we the people, ask for you to keep our loved ones safe by preventing any more accidents in this dangerous intersection.
