We have had numerous incidents of almost getting hit because people do not abide by the posted speed limit. Just this past Saturday we had to say good bye to our 4 year old Staffordshire because she was plowed into by a car that was going so fast they couldn't stop for the stop sign. My children play in our front yard. We have had a car run out of the road and hit one of the maple trees in our front yard. If the tree hadn't been there they would have possibly hit one of the children or the house. We have had incidents where cars will not stop for school buses because they are going too fast. Everyone uses the road to cut time off of their routes. It is just as simple to stay on 501 and turn onto Long Island Road. Flynn Street should not be a bypass road. It is an agricultural/rural road. There are farmers that use their equipment and have nearly been run over by speeding cars.
