Kangaroos Athletics started this petition to Virginia Beach Field House

Kangaroos Athletics is an esteemed organization in the Hampton Roads area that has repeatedly exhibited hard work, sportsmanship, and integrity. On Friday July 2, Kangaroos Kickball was utterly robbed of a run when Kurt Klesch made an astonishing play to make it home. The kicker who was at the plate made it to first base. However, the kicker inevitably rounded first base to the left to avoid the wall just feet beyond the base. The opposing team’s first baseman tagged the kicker out despite the fact that the kicker would have risked injury if they ran into the wall instead of rounding to the left. While this was happening, Kurt Klesch managed to make it from first base all the way to third. After this, the opposing first baseman stood still with the ball next to him while looking at the referee in confusion. Kurt saw an opportunity and ran to home. However, the referee sent Kurt back to third because the kicker rounded to the left and was tagged out. Kangaroos Kickball had an experience with this rule where a runner rounded to the left and was tagged out, but when it was the Roos in the field, they were told that it didn’t count because the kicker could only round to the left.
