- Hello Pungo people. Let's make a stand and protect the livelihood and farms, property, and safety of pungo. This project must be stopped. The run off will effect and add to the flooding issues we already have which effects farms and homes and will be a huge problem and add to the losses that people already have endured. Muddy Creek rd is effected the worse. The roads also cant handle the traffic that would come. Laura Zito the development coordinator stated it would be a walking community with paths to other places such as to pungo board house. We already have issues with people walking from the resturaunt to the parking. Which falls into safety. We will be including a full list of issues and concerns of our pungo/sandbridge/Blackwater/and Knotts Island residents at the meetings. Until then this is a list of residents who are against the project and support the livelihood and preservation of our land, farms, safety, homes, and people of pungo.
